Rugged ridge hood here 2.5 years now. No issues what so ever and is the most vented on the market.

Excuse the rookie question, what are the symptoms you guys are experiencing that show overheating problems? Is this for Jeeps with a lot of accessories that are running heavier than usual? Over-stressing the engine? I haven't seen the temp gauge needle move from the normal temp but I also know modern gauges act more like an idiot light than an actual gauge.

Not quite...Our hood has more ventilation and spreads it out across more area prone to trapping heat.

more gadgets and armor you add will increase load and in some cases will block some air flow but over all the cooler you can keep the engine bay the better it is for everything under the hood. loom / plastics / etc have a longer life span in a cooler enviroment.
