If I ever paint my silver Rubicon it'll be to mimic the woodland camo all those military vehicles from the base have around here. Bumpers, sliders, fenders, wheels, soft top, those pretty red/yellow ARBs/OME shocks, everything.
Got a compressor, moisture filter, cheap spray gun, only would need the paint.
Think I'll buy some for SHTF. How about storage? How long can you keep paint? And could you run the spray gun off CO2? What about prep? Just wet sand everything?

When it gets all scratch up then linex
I linex my stuff and did my 97 wrangler, worked great. I added a pint of the
jeeps original color and you won't get the fading people talk about and it matches pretty close and you retain the stock color somewhat.
I have a few more scratches and I will be linexing mine in steel blue.

The cops at my last base had their F-150s Line-Xed (everything except the beds ). They had them tinted to the midnight blue of the trucks. It held-up really well and looked pretty good. I was surprised how well it looked in the snow with all the crap on the roads...I thought the salt would look bad on it but I was wrong.

A buddy of mine line-xed his entire older Jeep and it looks good, he beats the crap out of it and after a power washing it still looks great. I plan to do it once mine gets scratched enough.

It's one thing to do an old CJ or YJ or even TJ but a new vehicle with a value over 20K........... not hardly. I read a lot of people saying what they're going to do so why wait. Go ahead and Line-X it now so we can see what it looks like. This question has been asked before but NOBODY so far has photos of their JK covered in rubber.
Once you do it we can have a thread "Show us your Line-x'd JK).
