Has anyone flipped their Brake light?
Like many who have gone to larger tires, my brake light was hidden. I had thought about the extension available, but that would only inhibit my vision further. As I looked at the light and the attaching bolt spacing, i noticed they were the same. I took it off, and flipped it over, and screwed it back in. the light now shines right through the wheel. It isnt the prettiest to look at from where it is hidden behind the tire/wheel, but it looks fine from the rear of the vehicle. Im not sure how well it will do in the long run, or if the water will affect the wiring.
I just wanted to see if anyone else had tried this, and wanted to know how it held up over time.

Innovative! There have been several other variants of moving the third brake light. Here are a couple:

3rd Brake Light Mod

ive seen the others, but didnt want to go that route. (nothing against their cool mods, I just didnt want to cut up anything right now)
This can be done with one tool, (and 2 optional longer screws)....and in under a minute.
Its also fully reversible back to stock if you change your mind later.

OK. heres how it looks with just the top screws in....I dont have any new pics since I have screwed in the longer bottom screws...it just sits a lot more flush.
and Unlit.....
And Finally lit.
Again, all I did was pull all 4 screws, flip the entire light stand, and screw it back in. Easy enough for anyone. Takes a small torx bit.
It rides fine using only the top screws, but it stiffer and more flush if you put longer ones in to attach the bottom.
guess this is a write up now, but I dont know how to move it.
