Guidance Needed: 3.73 gears and 33s/2.5" liift???

I've got a 2.5" rc budget lift kit with the shock extensions. It rides just the same as it did when I bought it, easily fits the 33's and with the 6spd and 3.73 gears, I have seen as high as 20mpg on the highway, and as low as 15 when running hard back and forth over the mountains to and from work. I think if I retain this setup, I may end up going to at last a set of take out 4.10s, if I have to buy gears, I'll probably end up with 4.88s. Most likely when these tires get worn out, I'll probably go up to 35's and add another inch of lift. Not that I have any problems going anywhere I usually trail ride, but would like just a little more clearance for when things get ugly.
And you might better look at the new ones, I know I bought my jeep in february and I can sell it now for more than I paid for it then and have driven it 12k miles already. Used ones are bringing incredible prices and the 12's do have quite a horsepower advantage from the start.

Go with the 2012. I looked for months before buying mine and I couldn't find anything that was more that 2 grand less than a new one and they usually had 20K + miles on them. Plus the extra HP is nice. I would make sure you get the 3.73 if you get a sport. I have 35's on mine with a 2.5 inch Teraflex coil lift and it isn't too bad. I get around 16-17 mpg and most of my driving lately is just around town. Either way you go you will be happy.. Jeeps have a way of doing that.

I have 33s with 4 inch of lift (over kill but I want to run 37s) with the six speed and 3.21 gears. I average 18mpg in town and 20 on the interstate. If your going with a six speed I think you would be happy, but from reading post, talking to owners, and driving the 2007s-2011s with the auto you may feel it is sluggish. I can't even stand the stock tires and auttos.
Welcome.
