Default green valve stem caps ???

does this mean theres a chemicle in the tires or just regular air ! some one told me not to add air with those green plastic caps on tires it means thers somthing else in there beside air ive thought about it and im thinkin that sounds odd but maybe this person is right !! any one know ! 2011 sport two door

I believe the green cap means the tires were filled with Nitrogen.

Yes it means Nitrogen is in the tires.

You can add air to nitrogen filled tires. They say it will eliminate the benefits of the nitrogen but I don't think anyone on this forum has seen those magical benefits. I had nitrogen in my last tuck and added air as needed. I couldn't tell any difference between the ones with air and the ones with nitrogen. There my be a smalldifference but it certainly isn't worth what they charge IMO.

If you wheel, then you should be letting air out of your tires. And if you do that, nitrogen makes no sense unless you have one of these:

OBNG. The pockets just keep getting emptier.

Most if not all tire dealers have it on hand but be prepared to PAY for it. Just put air in it and don't worry about it.

regular free air is 78% nitrogen already, good to go.

I agree... i see no reason to go with synthetic air or oil in a jeep...

with an engine that doesnt see more than 6k and low HP output there is NO benefit of using sythetic... with my 8.5k revving turboed subaru... thats a different story.
