Default Great Deal on a winch plate - No instructions...

Great Northern Tool has these Jeep winch plates for $80. Rated for 20,000 lbs. But I guess for $80 you don't get instructions.

I guess I should just start taking the plastic parts off and see where it fits...?

That sucks about not having instructions. Did you try calling them about that?

Heck, I wasn't aware there was a winch plate rated that high. Thanks for the info. Please keep us posted on the installation. Good luck!

I used a similar generic plate and then carved up the bumper for it to fit.Had to drill a couple of holes in the frame. Dropped in some grade 8 bolts and presto. Winch mount. Hardest part for me was feeding the nuts into the end of the frame . But it worked out nice in the end. I'll see if i can find some pics.

Default 12,500 lbs

My mistake, 12,500 lbs. capacity. I'm gonna email them and see if they have more details. The on-line product description didn't have details. Took a chance...

Alright - Thanks. That pretty much shows me what I thought, that I'd have to carve out some of that plastic. Unless I do a bit of re-engineering and weld on some shims to lift it up a couple inches.

It just takes a dremal tool to cut the metal and plastic. That's how I got around it. No big deal.
