Default GORILLA 10K winch

anyone have a gorilla winch or have any experience? I guess i am asking too late haha, but i just bought the gorilla 10k winch (Got an amazing deal on it ).. searching around i have seen good things about gorilla but there is not too much info besides their website...anyone have any thoughts??

I just feel with WARN you are paying for their name and their advertising, and while great winches I thought id give gorilla a try.

I don`t think you`re just paying for a name as in "warn".They have a reputation as being one of the best.Their shit holds up.I`ve been running the same warn 8000 lb winch for years...had it on 3 different wranglers.I wouldn`t get caught out somewhere without mine.I of course can`t speak for others, but mine has gotten me and others outta some serious predicaments with no problems! Haven`t heard about gorilla,so I hope for the price,it`ll work when the going gets tough.Good luck man

yeah i def know that Warn does well, but buying a comparable warn winch would have just been out of my price range, i figure by going with the 10k ill have room to play around rather than buying a smaller winch and having it fail-who knows though, anyone have a gorilla?

I have a Gorilla 12K on the front of my rig
haven't had a chance to torture it much yet but the couple of light pulls I made with it went fine.

You piqued my interest in a cheaper winch, so I was googling and found this on another board.. hence I cannot attest to it's validity, however:

"There are those gorilla winches of ebay and they are exactly like warn winches except for the sticker we compared them side by side and pulled them apart they are the same. "

Default yep

Yeah Ive heard many people say the same thing actually....that the winches are almost identical to Warns...Im not sure if they copied them, are produced by same company somehow or what, but i got it and will have it installed in a few weeks so hopefully i can test it out.
