Goodyear Wrangler Duratracs Tires

That's the size I've been thinking about getting as I'm also getting new 18" wheels. What kind of MPG are you getting with yours? Do yours measure as a true 35", or closer to 34"? I've got 3.73 gears and will have a 2.5" lift, but don't want to have to do much else that's often required when getting 35s+.
If you have not bought your wheels yet, dont. I regret getting the 18's. THey look great but are not the ideal offroad wheel. ANother thing about 18's is that it adds about $50 a tire to the total cost of your tire purchase. Thats $250 extra bucks. I would go with 17's or maybe even 16's in the future.
Your MPG's will go down. Im assuming you have a 2012. If so, puttint 35's on your jeep with 3:73, will reduce you pretty much down to a jeep that comes stock with 3:21's. Your jeep is going to be very very sluggish. You will have to regear. Others will say you dont. You do!
Im getting about 15MPG's around town, 17 on the highway.

I am running the set up you want to I have 2.5'' lift and 315/75r16s GREAT tire get me through anything nd everywhere and will last years, with the 3.73s it will be kinda sluggish and forget about taking hills in overdrive but they'll turn them so you can drive it while you save up for a new set of gears and lockers or axle shafts as its cheaper to do all at once and I'm getting on average 13mpg. Again no where close to ideal but you can turn em while saving up for gears. And watch your tyranny shifts cause you could overheat it if you let it shift a lot its better some times to keep it in drive so your rmps stay up but it you got a manual you'll wear your clutch quicker.. just my .02

I forget the exact dimensions but GY had it on their website. THey are I think 13.2 wide and 34.66 tall. I love them.

What! That's crazy. Especially with there popularity. Have you heard/read why that is? I keep hearing about the nationwide back order and crap like that.

THe GY guy said that while they are very popular, they are only popular with a small segment. Kinda makes sense I guess. He also said that the infrastructure that makes the Duratrac isnt permenant. THey actually have to change their operations to make them. THat makes me nervous because a tire that isnt part of a permanent infrastructure is a tire that will could easily be cancelled.

I have a 2008 auto. It's my DD with hardly any off road, so I'll probably stick with 18s. So, if I go with Duratrac, that means for 18" my options are 295's or 325's. I want to go 325's, but I don't want to have to worry about all of the other "extra" stuff. I'm just worried those 295's won't "look" big enough for me. What to do??

If you go with the 295's those are the 33in tires not 35's . DO you have a lift? If not, 33's should be ok for a stock ride height. 35's on a stock ride will require you to trim things in order for them to fit. I would go with the 325's and lift your jeep. Thats my set up. I have a 4in lift.

I'm planning on getting a 2.5" lift regardless. Just trying to decide between the 295s and 325s. I have an 08 auto with 3.73 gears with no plans to regear. If I knew for a fact that my ride would struggle with the 325s, i'd just stick with the 295s. Again, I'm just worried that once mounted the 295/65/18s will not look big enough. That's probably dumb of me to say especially since I'll be coming from the stock size.
33's will reduce some torque but not as much as 35's will. If you go with 35's you will reduce your torque to very close to 3:21. If you go with 33's you will reduce it to about halfway between 3:21 and 3:73.
If you go with 35's you will eventually regear or forever wish you could. If you dont want to spend that money, get your 2.5in lift and 33's and you will be happier with your jeep than you are now. Either way you win.
Here are some pics for comparison
