So that being said, would the above listed options (the siped MTs) actually be better on road than the KM2s??
A siped MT like the Pro-Comp Xtreme MT or Cooper STT will provide better traction on the street. The Cooper STT's have a slightly harder rubber compound, so they should last longer as well. Although the traction they provide on rocks is a bit less.

The Procomp MT's (35s) are hard to keep balanced( Just spent $120 on at the third shop to get balanced) and are a loud tire on the highway. They start making some noise around 40 and when you hit 60, the car next to you will here them through there windows They look goof though, but I will change to something a bit more highway friendly next time around

Have you been rotating them regularly? If not, they will start to cup, and once they start to cup they will get very loud, and wear much faster. To stop them from cupping, when you rotate them you need to reverse there direction. And yes, some people will say if you do they the tire will fly apart. This has not been the case for ages. Modern radial tires do not have this issue.
