Goodyear Duratrac or Toyo Open Country AT2?

I was dead set on Toyos when I went to buy new tires. But they were unavailable so I went with Duratracs. Almost silent which was a must, side walls look aggressive and they worked fine in the snow this past winter (even though we didn't have much). Next time I will probably go up a size with Duratrac 35s

I've read nothing but great things about Duratracs - and they look great that's why I was willing to spend the money on them , but they are an LT tire. That's light truck and a different construction which makes for a stiffer tire and harsher ride -Others may want to chime in, but I'm under the belief that the Toyo with its Radial construction is a less bouncy or less harsh tire on road.
The Toyo is a better performer than the Goodyear in most every category. Only off road will the Duratracs outshine the Open Country- but even then I bet it's close enough that a jeep with Toyos could follow the jeep with Goodyears all day.
That said I like a better rain and snow tire for on road traction. Looks I'll give to the Duratracs but I'm happy enough with the AT look... I think the Mud T's look better (more aggressive) than both but they are only the best in MUD.
End of the day you'll probably be happy with either tire. They both get great reviews all day but with the exceptional "they suck" and "they wear out fast"

I put 315 on my current (Anvil) jeep. I did put 2.5" AEV lift and cut the rock rails prior to tires installation.

I came from Nitto terra grapplers to Duratrac. The Nitto were P-series tires. On a 285/70/17 I'm getting the exact same gas mileage from the LT duratracs and they look a million times better. Also my tire guy told me that Nitto and Toyo were from the same manufacturer and that the nitto was the premium linens toyo was next. If that matters.
