Going Down 1 inch in lift
If I go from 4.5 to 3.5 inches of lift, will it change my geometry enough to cause problems.
The following measurements are what I used to determine current lift.
My current measurement on the front coil is 13.75" to the bottom to edge of spring tower.
The total length of the spring top to bottom is 15".
My front shock from middle of bottom bolt to top where stem goes thru shock mounting tower is 23".
I am running Bilstein 5100 (24-146708) shocks. The Bilstein website specs for this shock are:
compressed - 14.98"
extended - 24.63"
travel - 9.65"
This makes me think my shocks are too short for my current lift.
Any comments will be appreciated.
Thanks

Best way to tell is to flex it out and check. Try to find somewhere where you can stuff the wheel to where it's bottoming out on the bump stop, and also let it droop 100%. If you have several jackstands and a couple of jacks you can do it in the garage with the springs pulled out.

IMO going down one inch will help caster angle and control arm angle to some small degree. Your existing shocks will work fine with a 3.5" lift. You will have re-adjust your front and rear track bars and move down one eyelet on trac bar brackets. Going down one inch will also help roll center (body roll).
