Default GOBI rack with satellite radio......

I just got done installing my Gobi rack on my 2011 JKU. Apparently the factory satellite radio does not like it because it cuts in and out now. The rack must be interfering with the signal. Is there any thing I can do about this or am i screwed? Thanks!

Glad to know I am not the only one with this problem. When I get time I was going to try moving the antenna to a different location to see if it helps.

It happens on some JKs with GOBI racks. It's pretty easy to relocate the sat antenna if you are experiencing issues. The antenna is above the B-Pillar (passenger side). Some folks move it onto the rack, some move it elsewhere and most folks don't have an issue for some reason.

One of our customers made this GOBI video, go to 19:18 to see how he moved it.

I recently had the same problem. I moved the factory antennae down to the passenger side cowl and now the reception is back to normal. Its basically just unbolting, unzipping, unclipping, drilling the 2 holes in the cowl and reassembly. Not a bad job. Ill post a pic if i can get it to work on the ipad.

I did the same, except saved time by buying a new $20 Sirius antenna and ran it from the cowl. Just unplugged and left the stock one in place. Took 15 min and Farady Cage problem solved.
