Go with a tire carrier or not right now

I mounted my 35" duratrac on 7069 procomp for about 5 months with no issues before I got the lod bumper/tire carrier. I made sure the bumpstops kept the tire tight, and checked on the spot welds frequently. I also threw the spare in the back when I did any wheeling.

Just got some 305/70r16 Mickey Thompson MTZs mounted on procomp 7089 wheels. Tires weigh about 62 pound each and the wheel is probably about 23 lbs. So about 85lbs for the setup.
Money is a little tight right now but I don't want to tear apart my rear tailgate. I did mount the spare on there and it is not touching the bumpstops so I need to address that soon. So my question is should I go with the daystar bump stops and MBRP reinforcement brackets? or shoudl I look into a carrier? I would like to retain my 3rd brake light though if I go with a carrier and rear bumper combo.
Thoughts?thanks

- Check the classifieds, used rears often show up. Even if not exactly what you want, you can always resell it later and get most of your $ back.
- If you carry an air compressor and a tire plug kit, run without a spare until get a proper rear (this was my solution for a while).
- For a 3rd brake light, Rock Hard sell a simple light and wiring for ~$10-20
- Rancho and Smittybilt sell rear carriers that are cheaper than others.
- I liked other owners budget solution, of mounting the AEV tire carrier to the stock bumper.

The additional cost of a bigger tire.
Bestop High Rock bumper & single action tire carrier comes with red led or you can use stock CHML.
It's less than $800 and that spindle is sturdy. Its about 12" welded top and bottom to bumper with buttress. Needle bearings top and bottom, grease with zirc fitting held in place by 35mm axel nut and cotter pin.
