So I know some may consider this sacrilege to change the grill on a jeep but oh well... I had an issue so I fixed it. I am running an intercooled Sprintex on my 3.8 and this is my first summer in Texas with it installed. No issues when driving around town and for the most part on the highway. Tried to pull my loaded teardrop trailer in 102 temps and it got hot at 50mph+ really fast. I had several sets of off road lights and winch in front of the grill as well. Frame is 1"x1/8" cold rolled steel and mesh is .063" AL, I had it liquid coated to prevent rust. Removing the verticals increased the opening by approximately 10.75" linear inches, 40ish %.
