Getting 3" lift wednesday ...
Dumb question but anything to look for when I pickup my jk after the lift install?
I'm doing the bds with the steering upgrade and I upgraded to the fox shocks...
Kinda weird spending so much $$$ for something so visually minor, I mean in the big picture is 3" even noticeable?
I've only got 285/70's do its not as noticeable as 35's

3" inches is very noticeable. Not only visually but also when you get in the vehicle. You will just feel taller. You will really notice it at the drive up ATM's. If you had to reach down a little before then you will need to reach down a lot now.
I would do the following on the ride home:
Drive with the radio off and listen for noises.
Find a straight road, drive at on constant speed (not accelerating) and keep a very loose hold on the steering wheel. See if the rig pulls left or right.
Swerve back and for a little and listen for creaks and pops (yes some noise will be present but it will also likely dissipate as you let everything settle in).
Try to hit a pot hole with the left front tire (while loosely holding the steering wheel) and check for wobble, repeat on the right front tire.
Next is hit some trails and see how it performs.
Then disco the sway bars and see how much better that is.
Then you can just enjoy the Jeep and kick back when you get home with some

I already have issues at drive thru's and drive up ATM's
Won't really get to enjoy the benefits till spring, looking forward to the quick disconnects

Well I picked up my Jeep today!
New lift is sweet, Fox shocks and quick disconnects
Can't wait to go off road with it!!
Driving 175 miles each way tomorrow to pickup my mom for Christmas, should be interesting to see how it feels on the highway
How much of a change in mpg should I be expecting?

Here is a pic of mine with a 4.5" BDS AND 35's. big difference in ride height. No problems at all with the lift. Jeep drives straight with no hands on the wheel.
