Same boat as you..I also have a sport 2dr but manual. My added mods did make my rig heavier and was considering re-gearing. Although a new intake and exhaust got me back some power I am still overworking the engine so I will eventually re-gear. The parts itself is inexpensive, but previously mentioned installation is what breaks the bank!

Yeah i have intake and exhaust to help with power. but Im not doing major 4 wheeling... Just some weekend offroading. so i didn't know if it would be worth it. i think that might be something i do down the road. When Im done paying it off. I don't plan on getting anything bigger than 33s in the near future. when i can make my jeep a power rig...then ill regear.
Based off all the information i learned. thanks again!

Im curious as to why you want to go with 4:10. P&L will run your between 1500 - 2500 depending on where you go. Its a very expensive mod and should only be performed if the end result will be radically different from where you are now. Unless you have a lot of cash laying around, doing this for a small difference is probably not the way to go.

Gears are a great mod for what they give you back if you put in the quality ones. The only thing is if you become unsatisfied with the mileage you get after a while, you can't really change the tires to anything smaller than what you were running previously with the new gears. Your rpms would be to high to drive safely...
