There are 5.13s and 5.38s, but thats usually for bigger tires and a lotta offroad use-

Good luck

Good to know thanks.

To the OP...I have 3:73's and 33's, and I don't find it a big issue. As others said the OD button is your best friend. IF you stay at this tire size and want a bit more power....I can visualize the post above by JimBox makes a lot of sense...now that I've had my set up for almost 5,000KM

I have no plans to replace my 3:73's for now...I would if I went that next tire size up to 35's.

I *have* a Rubicon on small 33s. 4.10/4.11 is NOT the right advice with an auto for a 2007-2011.. 4.88 would be real world closest to stock IMO. You have to account for more than just larger diameter. Wind resistance, mass, vehicle is taller so greater vehicle wind/drag, etc.

Personally, debating between 5.13 and 5.38. Gears are a few years away though. Max size will be 37s, realistically, 35s.

Sent from some string and a few tin cans.

Go 5.38s with auto and 33s I did it, love it.. Also played with the shift patterns, super chips... Love it... 3.8l is still a dog, but the jeep is fun to drive and I get 16mpg running 60mph to work round trip 30miles... Makes pulling my Offroad trailer, 1500lbs easy... I think the 538 take less stress off the transmission hence it stays cooler...

FYI I followed the previous advise and originally went with 4.88's terrible idea!!! Read my previous explanation post on why 5.38 and the 42rle tran gear is the right decision...

Good luck!!!

IMO, the 3.8L JK is under geared "one step" from the factory. With that said 32s should have a 4.27, in theory, 33- 4.56s, etc... We are doing 255/80/17 with 4.88s and thee only regret in a years time is when we took a short trip and did 75 mph and pulled 2600 rpm. Our next/ final tire size; 285/75, will be perfecto.

I stand corrected. I didn't think there was that much of a difference between a manual and auto tranny for the 07-11
33 In tires Auto: 4:88 or 5:13
33 In tires Manual: 4:10

My buddy has a 2009 manual with 35's with 4:88 gears and the jeep gets to 70 in a jiffy.

I have a 2012 manual on 35's with 4:10's and it performs off-road perfectly but is sluggish on the highway. I may go to 4:56 but am not in a hurry.
