4.88 are in my auto now. I'm just not home to drive it. Will know next week when I get back.

I have the automatic and I live on Cape Cod, MA. So I won't be seeing any real rock crawling or mountain passes to cross. We do take the jeep up to the mountains here in New England to snowboard and Offroad on the beaches. I guess the 4.56's sound like my best bet?

I went through this just a few months ago...

a little different,I have a 2 door manual, I went with 5:13's and I'm happy, but I chose to go towards off-road gearing, you probably want 4:88's

I'm getting a steady 16 mpg even if I'm a little heavy on the gas , not that I care about mpg, just watch it out of curiosity as I add mods...

2012 JKUR on 37s', manual tranny, and I went with 5.13's. 4.88's get you very close to stock. I am glad I got 5.13's, I would think 4.88's would be a bit sluggish due to the increased weight of the tires but maybe someone else that actually has 4.88's could offer their view. I get 14-15 MPG on average, but can get 16-17 in the city.

Check out the FAQ, there is a chart there with the RPM's for gear ratio/tire size for manual's for 2012's. see for yourself.
