Gearing for 2010 JK Rubicon
#11
I have a 10" JK (2dr) Rubi/automatic. I had 5.13's with my 35's and now am running 5.38's with (heavy) 37's and bead locks. This seems to be the right combination with my driving style. Many times 80 mph is the norm. If you plan to up your tire size, then I'd suggest you go to 5.38's, otherwise, 5.13s' should suit you well.
Thanks for the tips. The shop I was using was pushing 4.88s but I insisted in 5.13s. I am pleased with the results and will likely not go bigger than 36's in the future. Now to fix the axel lockers and setup a manual bypass. The transfer case switch is not working or there is a wiring problem, not sure yet. Leaning toward a many system with safety switches and completely bypassing the computer. Did the same with the sway bar (replaced motor with manual release). So much to do, so little time to do it.
Nice rig, btw.
