Talked to northridge just a carrier and spider gears for the front, the rear works fine! 120 bucks more. Not bad

Hi Jim,

Did you buy new or used gears? Can you comment on performance and mpg changes?
I also have same rig as yours and want to run 35s. If you bought used you got them from a JK rubi then right and all that was needed was a new carrier and spider gears?

Just dont use YUKON GEARS...went through 2 sets after my gear swap. They are junk IMO...Maybe others like them, but Yukon would not warranty either set.

I have had no problem with my Yukon 5/13 gears I have been running them for 15,000 miles. I use my jeep as my DD and take it wheeling when I can. Sorry you had prob with yours.

Curious, what was wrong with them when you took them out each time?

Default This looks...

...Like alot of work and money to yank gears. I have heard the same thing though elsewhere on this forum.

Jim, where did you get you gears and carrier? Part #'s? I'm in the planning stage for the same gear swap.
