Default Gear Question.....

Anyone know if a set of 3.73 gears taken from a 2011 JK will fit a 89' YJ? Both are D30 front end and D44 rear if that helps. Just had this question asked to me and wasn't for sure. So thought I'd post and find out.

Default Gear Question?? 2007 Rubicon Unlimited 6sp

Purchased my 2007 Rubicon Unlimited 6sp from a dealership in October. It has a 3 inch lift with 315/70/r17 (34.5 inch) tires. Ive been reading the threads on all the regearing questions in regards to the rpms at 70mph. I'm pretty sure my jk has already been regeared because my rpms at 70mph are 2600-2700. At 75 im at 2900 rpm. Would anyone know what gear ratio 'im at with these rpms. These rpms are in 6th gear. Hopefully I dont have to open the diff cover to count teeth. Thanks for your help..

Measure the tires. (don't read the sidewall or go out to the mfg's site - measure them!). Then open the faq's stickied to the top of this modified area, you will find some charts in the drivetrain section.

To be more accurate, put a mark on the tire and driveshaft/flange, spin the tire, and count driveshaft revs. If you only lift one tire, spin the tire twice and count revs, if you lift both tires, spin the tire once and count revs.

But at a guess, you have 4.56's.
