Just wanted to double check. Manual says 80w-90 for gear oil, and says TracLoc requires additive also. Do I need the additive for my rubicon or just the 80w-90? Thanks!!!

I do not see why the additive would be needed with the Rubicon since it doesn't have an LSD but I don't know for sure. I'm waiting for those more knowledgeable to answer.

I noticed when I was looking for gear oil that some already contain the additive.

No additive for Rubicons. Just gear oil.

As far as how much to add - check you owner's manual. If you have aftermarket covers and you fill it as far as the fill hole, you will end up blowing gear oil out the breather line once the oil heats up.

A Gear Oil with additves (most Synthetic gear oils have LSD additives) will NOT hurt Rubicon lockers/gears.
