Default Garvin Roof Rack

I have a 2 door soft top and was considering a Garvin roof rack , looks like about $875 . Looks like you can still drop the soft top pretty easy any suggestions for a roof rack system for a 2 door soft top would be appreciated.

the garvin roof rack is real nice and made well. it has a low profile and as mentioned, is one of the easier ones to tilt back for top removal.

I was thinking about this rack for my Unlimited.

Does anyone know if it is possible to change from hard top to soft top and back with the rack installed, or is it a lot of trouble?

I really liked the rack until I found out the tub has to be drilled. At least the 4 door rack does. I'm gonna get a gobi when I do get a rack but damn are they expensive.

I had a 4 door soft top and recently traded it in on a 2 door rubicon soft top. I bought a Lange rack because it required no drilling. The back rack attaches to the spare tire. The front is attached to brackets that mount using the windshield screws and the brackets have a place to mount mirrors when your doors are off. The problem I had was that my kayaks are 12 feet long and on a 4 door it's about 11 feet between the front and rear. So I found another option for the rear - it's a high rock and it attaches to the tub with clamps over the side. You have to cut a couple of short pieces out of the plastic top clips for it to go through the soft top - not the top itself, just the clips. It has 2 hoops that slide into the channel on the bracket and you can get a basket to use with it. On my 2 door I just use one hoop most of the time. I can take the front and back off in less than 5 minutes and can drop the top with both sides in place. It's a hybrid but it works for me. Here's a shot of it on my JKU.
