Default Garage Clearance

How high can you go and still fit into the garage or in a parking garage. I'm putting a lift and tires on it next month. I'm considering a 3" Full Traction with 35" tires and keeping my stock wheels. I would love to throw some 37" on there but I have to at least fit into the parking garage at the airport.

depends on how tall the door is. Try searching around a bit. I asked this same question awhile back and got alot of responses.
here you go:

check post 6 in that thread, similar or the same as you are looking at.

i havea 3'' on my jeep with 35's now and i clear parking garages in ft. worth tx..
i tried using my factory wheels with my 35's for a couple of weeks it worked fine except for when i needed to turn sharp..the tires would start rubbing..i would recomend you get wheels as well to offset ur tires

I can fit in the parking garages, Pittsburgh Airports, with that set up, with a couple inches to spare...

It'll be close with 37's.

I know you are new and have one post but you need to search for the key words in your question. There are a lot of threads about this.

I have a 4 inch lift and 35's and sit at 78 inches with a hardtop.

My garage only gives me about 2" to spare over stock, so that is the main reason I am still without a lift.

There is only a space of 1" !!! This is when the Jeep is empty, and with my soft top and no doors.

I will install a 1" body lift in a few weeks. I will have to modify the wood frame of my garage door

I don't know how the garages are in TX but up here they vary big time. Some of our parking garages run with a clearance of 6' 4".....I can't go in those unless I go real slow, no bouncing allowed......if I find one with a 6' 6" or bettor I am good to go.

As has been said, depends on your garage height. My house was built in 1993 and has what I would consider an average size door and I clear with a 4" lift and 35s with about 1.5-2inches to spare. I could maybe put 37s on but most likely I'll have to park outside when I move up to 37s.
