So this has now resulted in a god awful rubbing noise coming from the front end.... Only in 4hi though. Any ideas of what I jacked up this time?

My 2 cents -
As a Dad that has learned this very secret code, I shared this with both my sons when they got 4x4's.
If you go off the road to have some fun, ensure you have some funds and time for laying under your truck as something will break.
They always remind me now of how many times that has reminded them to think a second time.
Good to have the fun but it usually comes with some extra effort.
Enjoy -

okay so after 3 hours of washing the mud off the bottom I discovered my front drive shaft rubber seal is completly torn right by the t-case. (sorry for the newbness) now would this cause this rubbing noise im hearing only while in 4wd?? and can you replace this without a new drive shaft? I know I need to upgrade but my wallet wont let me....

You will need a new drive shaft!
