Full Traction Adjustable Track Bars

Full Traction Adjustable Track Bars
I have both the front and rear installed on my 2 dr. Rubi w/4" lift. Over time I have been getting a creaking and popping sound from these. All the bolts are torqued to 125 lbs.
Has anyone else experienced this and what can be done to correct it?

After re-greasing mine a couple times, I ended up installing a zerk fitting into it like FT should have done in the first place!
Now I can pump it full of grease and it doesnt make noise anymore

Yep, had it here too. Grease the crap out of the bushings and the frame (of the Jeep). and tighten them to at least 150 ft. lbs. I ended up tourquing mine to 175. Haven't heard a noise for 2 months.

Thanks for the reply. I did grease the poly bushing during install, but not enough I guess. It does seem to be coming more from the poly end than the heim joint. I'll take it down and grease again, I like the idea of adding a zerk fitting.

What kind of grease did you use? I recommend that you use a high performance lithium complex grease or white lithium grease. From my experience, this will keep your track bar quite. Also, I see you have a 4" lift. Did you install new adjustable control arms? If not, your axle not being centered will pull back on your track bar and cause a lot of pressure on your bushings. Over time, this pressure will wear on your bushings and cause them to start sticking - this gives you the popping. Now, if you do have adjustable control arms, there is a chance your axle is not positioned under your Jeep correctly. If it is, your track bar should install with ease and not require any pushing or pulling on it to get it to drop into the axle mount.

I used some white lithium grease, but not very much from what I recall. I do have adjustable upper control arms and the axle seems to be centered within 1/8" to either side. Where you speaking of the pinion angle tilt that would cause the bushings to bind? The track bar did go in without any effort and only the length needed adjustment after I removed the Sky Jacker extention bracket. I spoke to Full Traction today and they suggested I tighten the poly end to 160 lbs or as tight as I can get it. Is this to excessive?
