Most of the "pro" work I have seen isn't any better than much of the shade tree stuff I've seen. And I could be wrong, but you quoted a 2k price point for a custom cage, which seems a little high to me. How did you come up with that number and furthermore, how would your number apply to anyone else... wouldn't the cage be unique in every situation?

With the direction the other place is going and the supposed direction this place is going, I thought I'd try my luck.

Knowing myself... this is sure to end poorly. lol.

I did notice PIG and co. being spoken of and mildly poor choice in vocabulary isn't censored. That's good shit right there! Once they hire midget strippers to host the project gay-k videos, I'll be a real fan.

I too have been guilty of this in the past, but maybe we should stick with what we know. No offense meant to you bud, but spreading hearsay only confuses the subject. Maybe two grand is a good place to target the cost at, but when I was contemplating a build, several sources quoted me much less. Again... cage specs matter, building from 2.5" HREW is going to create a very different price point than building from 1.5" 4130.

I don't think they are kicking people anymore but admins will edit posts and delete things that are against the rules. The other site has changed quite a bit with so many new users and is getting a lot of spam that should be addressed.

The problem with the JK factory cage (as opposed to the jeeps of old) is that it is welded to the body, not bolted. Because of that, full cage replacements are both significantly more expensive, and more difficult. This is why many manufacturers have not invested the R&D into 100% replacements.

Genrights is too new to make judgment on. I'll wait till I see a pricepoint.

Synergy is where I plan to put my money unless something else changes (genright steps up to the plate). Lower cost and significant improvement, the competition (bolt in cages) just doesnt compare.

I'm not sold on river raider's deisign. Why they tie the A pillar to the firewall has never fully been explained IMO.

EVO slapped up a teaser shot of something on facebook months ago. It gathered a lot of interest, IMO, but never wen't anywhere from what I saw, and needed big additions before I would consider it. Not sure where that stands.....
