FT front track bar noise ??
#11
Well, we took the jeep up on the lift and there was definitely a big difference on the dropout between one side and the other, (not dropout at the same time, I mean one front tire up and one front tire down) it definitely looked like the trackbar, the drivers (frame) side was binding up, the side without the heim joint, removed the trackbar and both sides seemed to drop out the same. Unfortunately, I am not a mechanic, but I was watching the mechanic as he was working on it, and we were talking about the difference. Flex is still awesome though! Even with the loud creaking noises from the track bar. The bolt that is coming out in on the frame side as well. It seems that if that side had the same heim joint and not that "fork", it would probably be ok.
Not sure about the ESP, but....stock, didn't do it, after wheels and 34" tires, didn't do it, as soon as the lift was installed, started acting up really bad. Sometimes, bikes fly past me on corners! Usually on corners, and a downhill slope is when it really kicks in and slows me down to about 15mph!. FT told me to put spacers on the front on top of their lift, to level the jeep. Did it, and still the same problem.
Yes, it was a December build in fact! Maybe December and before, we got the crappy plastic and the crappy ESP! Sounds like it.
Thanks for the comments! Keep 'em coming. Anybody that has any ideas other than the steering wheel is greatly appreciated!
