Default FT 4" ultimate trackbar drop bracket

Are the bolt-on trackbar drop brackets that come with the Full Traction 4" Ulitmate lift sufficient, or is it recommended to weld them in place as well?

After reading so much about failed brackets from other manufacturers, I am cautious about buying any "bolt-on" brackets - especially the type that attach to the axle. Is it possible to weld the FT bracket into place or use another bracket like the Terraflex one that attaches to the frame rail? Or the Currie that gets welded onto the axle?

Also, for those that have this lift on a 4-door with a M/T, have you felt the need to replace driveshafts? Front or rear? I'd rather not and may opt for the 3" lift otherwise. I only need to clear 35s and won't wheel it very hard or often enough.

Thanks.

I have that lift and the bracket is very beafy and the one i have bolts onto the frame side and it bolts up nice and snug witn plenty of bolts. i didn't have any drive shaft issues with my 6-speed untill i went out wheeling and every once in awhile my front boot would rub on the heat shield for the cross overat full flex. i don't think that i would of had any issues out of it but i went ahead a changed out my front driveshaft after about 6month or so. the rear hasn't given my any problems at all.

the other thing is that i wasn't real happy with the bushing for the control arms so i just ordered the FT version of the johnny joints to replace them. if you go with this kit i would recomend going ahead and getting them.

the failed versions bolt to the axle, You wont have any issues with the frame drop down bracket.

Hmmmm. There's temptation everywhere I look....

This is funny. I started out just wanting a BB and 33s (285s). Then I realized I wouldn't be happy with 33s since I think 35s look the best on the Unlimiteds, so I decided to go 3" and 35s. Then I started looking around and along comes the long-arm 3" lift! Now the 4" Ulitmate....then the 4" LA, What next!?!?!

(Please don't answer that! It was a rhetorical question.)
