Ok here is a thought what if there was some way to hook the rad up to a switch so that it would work in reverse and move hot air out through the rad over the winch, i no the fins are directed for pulling in but i'm sure they would move a little outward
or hook up another fan so that it is on the outside and pulls outwards.
Just a thought
or one of those rear seat 600w 12v heaters blowing onto it.

It's an electrical issue. Not only did the air not work but neither did the winch. There was power all the way to the winch. Power before and after the fuse and power up to the conncectons at the winch but not to the controller. I checked it with a Hundy's test light.

Always possible, but don't discount the condensation. The intercooler runs even when the winch is running, so it may just have a safety switch that kicks it all off.

could the gear oil have frozen up?? causing it to stop working momentarily.

For what it's worth...my Powerplant was covered with about a 1/4 inch of ice and it worked as advertised and I haven't done anything special to it.

Sure would stink if you really needed it bad when you discovered it didn't work...I know I'd be a little upset...
