Default Front track bar question

I promised I searched for this question. I am going to be installing the Teraflex 3 inch kit with shocks, replace all 8 control arms, and will be putting on front and rear adjustable JKS track bars. Teraflex provided a rear track bar bracket, there is not one for the front. By assumption(and this is very loose so dont flame me), it appears that the front track when level has a smaller angle in relation to the ground vs the rear which will cause less stress on the front bracket so a reinforcing front bracket is not needed if your not lifting your rig too high. Also , it seems the rear rips off more than the front from what I have read here on the forum. I see in WOL's write up when he put on the Tera 4 inch, he had a front bracket welded on that was not made by Teraflex. In my case is a front track bar bracket necessary because Teraflex did not provide one, or it has not been engineered by them yet?

Since you're putting on a JKS adjustable front (although I don't know the adjustable range) you should be fine just using the OEM attach points and adjusting until ya get the axle centered underneath.

at 3" of lift, a front track bar relocation bracket is not necessary. at 4" or more, it is nice to have but you will need to install a dropped pitman arm or a draglink flip kit at the same time.

The 3" kit doesn't need a TB drop bracket in the front.

I do not agree. I purchased the 3 inch kit from Teraflex about 2 weeks ago, installed it, aligned, and now I have a horrible death wobble. I've had 4 wheel parts and bob supplee inspect the work and everyone agrees that it needs a new track bar for the 3 incher.
I would hope that Teraflex would start telling people this. Now my jeep cannot move and I've now have an unexpected expense.

I doubt that it is your jeeps need of a trackarm that is causing it to DW. Are you sure it is true DW and not just some shaking? did you get adj. control arms??? what is your caster? My axles deff. needed to e re-centered after the 3" kit, but I dont think it would have caused any DW. make sure the trackbar is nice and tight, that is the usual culprit.

All a trackbar will do is recenter your axle. Now a set of adj. control arms will allow you to add more caster to your alignment. Now a worn/loose TB can cause death wobble. Re-torque the TB bolts to 125lbs. Do you have adj. arms? Is this a 2dr or 4dr?

Nothing was wrong with the jeep till the lift was installed. Has 16000 miles on it. Everything has been torqued three times by me, 4WPW, and Supplee offroad. We have checked for cracks ( even the small ones that are hard to see) in all the mounts, worn out bushings no one can find anything ,and they all say the same thing " you need a new trackbar for the bigger lift". I've had the tire pressures at 15, 20, 30, 35, it's all the same. Ethier I have a brain block or the kit is not working. I love Teraflex and have had no problems in the past but this time sucks. I cannot get a clear answer from anyone over there and all Teraflex say is I need to buy more and more stuff. I'm awaiting the arrival of my Teraflex trackbar you suggested me buy and I'll bet that fixes the problem.

Death wobble in my Jeep is going 20 miles an hour, hitting a small pot hole, then the steering goes side to side very fast and will not stop till you do. I have not tried it on the highway yet.

From the sound of that, the hwy is the last place I'd be! Good luck! Hope the TB fixes it!
