Front Spring Bent !!
Hi all,
I had my FT 3" lift for a while, now recently I have notice clicking sound when I go over humps, or on off-road action.
took it the to the workshop where we saw the front driver side spring is bent ...
Any one had experienced the same?
I know I have to replace it if possible, Do they sell it individually?
Is it safe to drive with such bent?
Thanks

Are you sure its bent? In the picture it looks compressed alot and pushing out the side but I dont see any bent angles or anything. if its bent id say dont drive on it. If youve ever seen a spring pop out of some spring compressors you know a loaded spring coming loose packs quite a punch.

It appears from the photo that it has rotated and is not seated properly. Try unloading it and spinning it to make sure it is seated, then put a load back on it and see how it looks.

We went wheeling with a kid that had a new FT 3" premium kit installed at the dealer.
When we were checking it out at the park, we noticed that both his coils were bent
On one side the coil was touching the sway bar, and on the other side it was bent the other way.
Both coils were seated in the perches correctly too, and even if they were not seated right, it shouldnt matter THAT much.
Ive been driving around with my driver side coil unseated for 4 days now and my coil is not bent over at all.
If you notice, the driver side coil seats in the back of the perch and the passenger side seats in the front of the
perch, so the coils are actually bent in the same direction if taken out of the Jeep.
The FT premium kit doesnt have adjustable arms either, so thats not the problem.
I think FT has a problem with their coils IMO
In fact, I thought I remember reading about this same problem before, here on the forum.....

It is bent because when we jacked-up and the tires went down lose, the spring expanded with bent angle stayed the same...
about "loaded spring coming loose" ...That's scary

I have a full traction 3" lift also, and mine sits very crooked,I know it is not the same problem, but definetly a FT spring quality issue going on,several posts on here about these probs.
