Default Front lower control arms after installing lift

I read somewhere mention of loosening the front lower control arms after installing a lift that does not include new arms.

Do i just basically need to loosen the upper/lower bolts of the control arm, set the vehicle down so it has the new weight on it, and torque them back up?

Same idea for both. It releases the tension on the bushings when you lift/lower it.

Torque them under the weight at driving height.
