Front LCA install question
ok--installing front LCAs..
i'm on OME HD spring & shocks with 35's
i took out the stock LCAs and have the rear new one bolted in.
i'm using a jack to lower the passenger side axel to make be able to slide new front end in..i seem to be loweing the axel a LOT to get the front in..
IS THIS CORRECT !!!!!!!!!
i'm measuring 23inches from eye to eye on the new LCAs..right?
just seems a little odd..
thanks
steve

I think what you're saying is that you're having a hard time getting the hole on the axle to line up with the control arm??
If that's the case, you'll need to use a ratchet strap to pull the axle back toward the vehicle to get the holes to line up so you can get the bolt in there.
That's what I had to do.

getting closer--i think i mis-measured. i had arms out to amlost 23.5 inches. shortened 'em up to 23 and i was able to get it in. took scssor jack, took tire off and lowered passenger side axle to get it to line up.
1/2 inch made all the difference in the world.
torque specs are about 120ft/lb on those puppies?

Hand tighten when in the air, torque down with the vehicle completely on the ground . You don't want any of the bushings binding up.
