I recently added a 2.5" lift to my 14 JKU with 6 Speed. Because my factory front driveshaft was beat up I decided to replace it when I was doing the lift. I went with a 1310 Adam's front driveshaft which came with a replacement flange for the transfer case.

To do the install I had my JK sitting on a lift in the air. When I went to attach the Adam's driveshaft it was resting on the exhaust cross member, which concerend me. After wheeling and flexing out on some rocks I looked at the driveshaft and there was a wear pattern from it spinning against the exhaust cross member.

Correct me if I am wrong but I thought the new driveshaft wouldn't hit? any suggestions????

Did you install the exhaust spacers?

Adams does use a larger shaft. Mine doesnt hit but its a 07.

*2" X .120 Wall.

I figured the smaller diameter would allow me to not use the exhaust spacers (as everybody has told me) but the new driveshaft hits the exhaust before full extension.

How long are your front shocks extended? I have a new Dana Spicer drive shaft part number 10020113 and with shocks 27.2" long it just rubs at full droop but not enough to hurt anything other then rub the dust off it. When I had 25" shocks it did not rub. I figure there is no plastic boot to tear so no big deal and it is rear that I would have both wheels hanging like that. 2.5" RK lift.

I am running the Fox 2.0 IFP (#980-24-641). It gets me right at 28" when fully extended which is what Rock Krawler has listed on their website as a "Generic Front Shock"

It has left a nice ring on the front driveshaft from where it has rubbed the top of the exhaust

Limit straps or
If all else fails give Adam's a call. Maybe he can get you new shaft with a smaller diameter.

Exhaust spacer is easy to do but may also require a washer or two on the skid. Also as said limit strap the dif or new shaft will work. Hell i even ran one that was 1.5 x. 25 wall. I ran some 29 extended and also notched my skid plate wich is an option if your not getting into the y pipe or whatever

But yes, very isolated case (first I've heard) with your lift height and driveshaft diameter. Exhaust spacer will be your cure.
