Default Front driveline Fix

Ok fellers,
I installed a TFBB , a week ago and then read the treads about damaging the front drive line. as i installed the lift i removed the skid and decided i would mod it to miss the shaft all togeather. Heres what i came up with. Tell me what ya think.

I marked the skid while it was inplace before the lift using a sharpie. Then used a torch ( a cutting wheel will work....then grinded and repainted.

I didnt get a flexed pic but looks to clear w/o any issues.

no skid here.......just like seeing my baby.......rofl

Good idea, but I think I would reinforce the area that remains, maybe some 3/8" or 1/4" plate across the bottom?

This is my next step....but i want to see how it dos before i go to the trouble.
It seems pretty stable so far. i post any new news as it comes up. it still bolts in the center aswell so there is still alot of support.

I did something similar, but not as radical. Lowered the plate about 1/2" using washers and ground down the area directly beneath the front drive shaft. Ended up ripping the boot off anyway because it's the auto transmission pan that's the weak link!

I didn't even take out that much and mine still bent when I slid over a large rock. Good luck with that. Hopefully it won't hit the side of the transmission like some are.
