Default front drive shaft advice

I have a 2" TF BB with bump stops that came with the kit. I just noticed that my front drive shaft has contacted the auto trans pan and damaged the boot (allowing dirt and water into the splines). Where do you get a replacement drive shaft? Do you get the same length or remeasure since it has been lifted? Any other advice is appreciated. Thanks.

Did you take off the auto skid when installed? Read that if you don't & start pulling down on your axle to fit the spring back in...Could damage it there. But just with a BB, I wouldn't think you need a longer shaft.

I have a coast 1310 and I got from northridge for 450. So far i'm really happy with it. 1350 will not be necessary unless you are running 37's or bigger

If you go to the Tom Woods site they have a lot of great info on drive shafts and tell you where to make your measurements. I've also been told to replace the stock flange mounts with yokes which I did. It is explained on the site also. I also agree that 1310 are more than sufficient.

I've heard you can't go wrong with the coast ds. They come with yokes and are cheaper than woods and je reel. From what I've read, everyone loves them. I'm
Going to get one when my front ds dies. Boot had been broken for about a year now and I wheel pretty frequently but no probs yet! Yea, I know I need to change it.....

a 1310 shaft is what you'll want. 1350 is overkill unless you plan on running 37's or bigger. i personally would recommend a coast shaft but, if you one of a different make, do yourself a favor and upgrade the u-joints to spicer. the cheap chinese u-joints that some of the popular shafts us are junk.

I talked to David at Northridge a few weeks ago about driveshaft stuff. He personally recommended Coast over the more expensive drive shafts they carry. I ended up getting my driveshaft replaced under warranty but plan to go with Coast once this one goes out.
