The crossmember that holds your transmission up? If that's what you're asking then, yes, it's the only thing holding your transmission and transfer case up.

Nope, the one that the front drive shaft hits at full droop. See picture. Its not holding anything. It's only there to add rigidity to the frame I think?

I think it is to protect the tranny. It actually works well for that.

I went to the teraflex high angle. Been on there for 8 months or so. Lots of wheeling. No issues

Unless that's only for automatics or on the newer years I must be missing it, lol. Mines an 08 manual.

Post 6 shows a few pics of how he trimmed the skid and added washers to lower the crossmember. This was back in 09, don't know if any changes have been made with new models.

I have a 3.8 auto and I don't have that extra cross member but my stock front drive shaft hits my exhaust and has torn the plastic boot.

Edit, just noticed that it actually catches on the side of the transmission sump
