Default front bumper question?

Hey guys,

After finally doing a lift and new tires..I am now looking for a new front bumper!! Here is my question..I don't want a heavy front bumper that is going to make my front sag and make me do a body/spacer in the front...I am trying to avoid that. I have the TF 2.5 Coil lift with shocks and I have read it was made to compensate for a aftermarket front bumper but wanted some real world answers. I was looking at maybe doing a shrockworks stubby...what do you guys think? Thanks in advance!!

Mike

You can try the rugged ridge stubby, I have the full width with hoop and front skid, I forget what the net weight gain is, but It did sag a bit...the front skid alone is pretty heavy. I think with the stubby/hoop you would be ok tho..

I wanted the same as you - functional - light weight (compared to many), winch capable and went with the Olympic BOA front bumper - and love it.

i have the rugged ridge xhd modular and a 2.5 coil lift (skyjacker). i purchased the end caps but have since removed them. so, i have the bumper, the center hoop and a winch - all total weighing in at 170 pounds. it dropped my front 3/4 of an inch. not sure what it would do with your teraflex kit...

Just an FYI. The Rugged Ridge is made in China if that matters to you.
