Front Bumper

Front Bumper
Just got my new ARB bull bar deluxe delivered today. Now for the question...Should I replace the front bumper, even with the air bag sensors, or should I let the dealer replace it? How easy is it to swap out bumpers? Do I need to worry about the air bags? Any help is welcome.
Thanx,
Phil

Go for it!
I say go for it if you want to do it yourself. I'm no mechanic and I did it easy enough. I don't know how much you bumper weighs, but you may need a buddy to help you lift it into place and line it up. All you need is a decent socket wrench set.
By the way, those aren't airbag sensors. They are "crush cans" to absorb some of the force of a front impact. Your airbag sensor is gyroscopic, and senses the sudden change in motion. The only wiring you'll have to deal with is the fog lights, and that is easy enough.
Have fun!

Change the bumper your self. The sensors for the airbags are not in the crash cans so get rid of all the junk in the front.
I recently changed mine from stock to RR XHD w/fogs. Took me two hours start to finish.
The time includes picture taking and two glasses of wine.

Do the bumper yourself. I just did mine yesterday. Took me all of 2 hours. I did my winch today, that maybe took 1.5 to 2 hours as well. You'll save a ton of $$$ doing it yourself. Here's the results of my 4 hours of work

Alright the bumper is on! It took my and my friend about 4 hours. Talk about a pain in the ass!! Now I just need to wait for the winch to get here, which is on back order. Well here are a few pics of the finished product. Any questions just ask.
