Default Front axle

Have an 08 rubi and the front axle is blowing oil all over the place. It is coming out of the tube that runs up the front shock towarda the engine compartment. Any ideas??

It will keep puking out until it done its thing. Just keep cleaning up until it stops or drain a little bit out of the diff

How long have you had the jeep. Strange if it just started doing this out of the blue. Definitely overfilled though

Appears to be coming out of overflow and then running back down tube and blowing back on to the exhaust. Thanks for your help guys! I will drain some oil.

The previous owner probably overfilled it when changing the diff fluid. At least you know that he did some maintenance . Any excess gear oil in the diff will just blow out the breather tube - that's one of the reasons that the breather tube is there. The only harm that it will do is make your Jeep smell really bad.

If you do chose to drain some gear oil, be careful. If you drain too much, you may end up damaging your front diff next time you drive it. If you're really concerned, I'd just do a complete fluid change on the front diff, and put in EXACTLY the amount that the manual calls for.
