Default Foot peg for driving without doors?

I'm sure I saw it some time ago here but I'm looking for any ideas on adding a foot peg to the lower hinge of the driver's side so that when I'm driving without my doors, I can rest my foot outside on the peg? Any help or ideas are appreciated.

Not sure about Texas, but in PA when the doors are off, all limbs must remain inside the vehicle. Check your local laws.

search doesn't work on iPhone app so I can't find the thread. but do a search for "shower valve socket wrench". you will find a thread from a guy who made a foot peg outta one. I did it too and it's perfect. cost about $5 and a few minutes of your time.

I always have my foot sitting on my running board. Not to mention I drive withot mirrors and never been pulled over for it. Its not so much your local laws as its the cop your driving by.

I have my leg out the door ALL the time when doorless.

I made my foot peg out of a U-Bolt:

Only thing different I'd love to have done is leave a small upwards part just so my boot doesn't slide off the peg so easily.

I used my dremel to cut it. Took less than a minute. Worked great overall though.

I bought mine from jeepegs.com They are really nice. I had a problem with the threads on my first set and the guy sent me a new pair out really quick.
