Default Flexatrunk dimensions

If anyone out there has the Bestop Flexatrunk, could you please provide me with the internal dimensions? It really like the look of it, and am pretty sure that it will prevent the casual theft, but I want to make sure that it can fit my golf clubs, softball bag, etc.

Thanks,
Mike

Default Bestop Flexatrunk

Had mine installed today. Here are the measurements to the best of my ability.
35 inches from tailgate to back of the trunk
40 inches across measured above the subwoofer to the opposite side
15 inches in height
My boyfriends golfbag did fit in there diagonally.

The panels on top are sturdy plastic and are removeable if you have taller or bulkier items but you lose the security aspect of course once they are removed. The sides are metal.

I put the top all the way down but could not get the top to sit as neatly as I would like. I may need to spend more time playing with it.
Overall the peace of mind is worth the slightly sloppy lowered top, imo. Hope that helps. let me know if you have any other questions.

Thanks,
Allie

No.
Yesterday had my roof up with the back window rolled up, and Flexatrunk closed. I drove through a heavy (but short) rainstorm. When I got home the carpet under the flexatrunk and my work bag were wet.

I am a little fuzzy on this. I know it works as a security trunk when the seats down but does it act like a security trunk when the seats folded up or do you have to remove it. Any pis would be nice

There is a piece of metal on the side facing the seat that makes it secure even if the seat is down.

How secure are these? Is it something that you would have a hard time breaking into without tools or something to cut it or could you just jump on top of it until the plastic flexed and could be removed?

Also, the instatrunk is about half the price and I believe it was all metal so would that be more secure or are they about the same?

I need to get something even just for the bad location of the subwoofer that is just too inviting to the casual thief.

Thanks!
