Default Flashpaq vs Flashcal axle lock option...

Guys, Superchips recently updated the flashcal to allow locking the front or rear axle while in 4Hi, which turns off at over 30mph. So far no problem!!!

However, as ridiculous as it sounds, it's not like you program you jeep to allow this to happen from now on..... To make it happen, it has to be done through the flashcal unit while it is plugged into your OBD2 port and not by using the intended locker switch on the lower left dash.!!!! How stupid is that??? Can anyone make any sense out of this????

Was gonna sell my flashcal to get the flashpaq which allows the locking on 4Hi until I updated it today. Can anyone tell me if the flashpaq is the same non-sense..?!?!?

I am not too impressed with Superchips. I purchased a 3570 Flashcal from amazon that turned out to be a return since it already had a vin # installed. I returned it to Amazon but queried Superchips, about whether or not anything was downloaded to my JKU. It read my tire info at 35" which is correct, but my gear ratio at 3.73, which is incorrect. I was thinking about buying the FlashPaq but wanted to know if I needed to go get my JKU reflashed. 2weeks later and still no answer. Not the kind of company I will do business with in the future.

You have a pretty important question, did you call them? They have a tech line. I have used it in the past and they were very helpful. Some things are better done on the phone rather than email, if that is what you did.

Technically, if it had a vin attached, it didn't allow any action on your jeep. I think that the info you saw on the screen belonged to the jeep with the locked vin.
