Default Flashpaq Data Aquisition

Hi

Well after a trip around the world I am sitting with my Flashpaq on the desk.

I just did the Internet update etc, and I see one of the options is data acquisition package, if you do that I and leave the programmer plugged in while driving, can you download the data to the PC?

Do you read it using the same software used to update the reader, or is there something else needed?

(Finally, can a Flashpaq programmer only be used on a single vehicle, or can it be used to program more than one?)

Not sure about the data acquisition process myself, however, I do know that you can only use it on one vehicle at a time. E.G. program you Jeep, can't use it on another. Return yours to factory and you can use it on another....

It is "synched" to one vehicle. To use it on another vehicle you have to return the first to stock settings which clears out the programmer. Then you can use it on another JK. As to the data acquisition, I don't know.

There are a lot of threads already on the Flashpaq. I would pose the first question there as you're likely to get a quicker answer because people are already linked to those threads.

You can monitor four fields of information at a time. It will data log by different ways. You can do it by time, distance, or advanced. This will let you do 0-60 time runs, quarter mile runs and other preset speed and distance runs and record them. There is also a ton of other engine and system data you can record, four at a time. Once you record your data, when you first bring up the flashpaq program on your computer there is an option to do data acquisition. This will allow you to down load the data as either an html file or a csv (comma separated file). You can use the csv data in your own spreadsheets.

If you choose to activate data acquisition from your PC be aware that it's like an on off switch. Next time you update if you click it again to activate it you are actually inactivating it. I found that out the hard way.

While you are logging data on your jeep will see a bar going across the screen showing progress of recording.

On my Jeep, I have to turn the ignition to on before choosing data acquisition or it will not recognize my vehicle.
