i have heard a lot of great feedback around the FC II. If you are looking for an aggressive AT tire... I don't think you can go wrong with the FC II

If i had a standard (not auto) i would probably lean towards 35" inch tires with the same width and type of wheels and tires i have now. with the auto i am sticking with the 33's. i;ll try and get pics when i get home. i don;t have any on my computer at the moment. i have had this setup for about 6 months and would buy the exact wheels/tires for my dd if i did it again today.

cheers

Paul, I would love to see pics of your setup. Sounds like what I am aiming to get. Thanks again.

How many miles do you have on your Coopers and how have they worn? I have been thinking about getting those.

I have 33" Goodyear Duratrac's on my stock 18's.

No lift but 1.5" Spidetrax spacers.....great tire....I have over 10,000kms on them since July.

[QUOTE=Thumper616;1369123]I actually prefer the look of the stock wheels with a larger tire, but I'm sure I'm in the minority.

Im with him on the wheels, i used spacers just to keep my stock rubicon wheels (which you can find cheap on here) but those are 17x9, and most 33x1250's say you need to put them on a 8.5+ rim. Personally i run mickey thompson baja claw tires and have for the past 30k mikes, and still have plenty of treadlife and no rubbing with 2in spacers and a 2.5 lift

I went with 33's on my 09 2door and against most of the guys on this site I like the look of a lift on my jeep ( alot of height) I went with a 4 inch RC lift then added a 1.25 inch RC bodylift all on 33's. One thing I did different than most is found some procomp wheels 16 x 10 with 4.5 back spacing so those suckers stick out past the fenders. Jeep has an aggressive stance with plenty height to boot!
Tires are Mickey Thompson MTZ's.
Didn't want to gear it and its an automatic with 373 gears so works for me for now.
So now I am setup so when these wear out I will regear and got enough room for some 36 x 13.50's

Maybe I missed it, but GEARING is a huge consideration. My 08 X 6-speed has 3.21:1, which are on the small side for 33's. It'd work, but my crap mileage now would go to single digits!
JeepDad, where in Virginia are you? There's lots of great Jeep Clubs wherever you live, and they're a great asset for building your Jeep up. Try Virginia 4 Wheel Drive Assn. (statewide), which lists a lot of them. Or Southside Jeepers if you're near Richmond! Just a thought

I think around.... 18k? I cant remember how many miles are on the Jeep offhand, but somewhere around there. They have worn slightly, but not bad at all. I rotate religiously between 3000 and 3500 miles. They have worn very even except for one, and that wasnt the tires fault, my toe was off and it started to cup. I got my toe in set right and I swapped it to the back and it's fine. They wear like iron IMO and other than the one (which again was my fault, not the tires) they wear very evenly. Almost dissappointingly so, i was hoping for 35's when they wear down, but at the rate they are going, that is going to be quite some time. *L*
