Default try these

I bought these in June put 600mi or so on them, ride great on the road and sand.... never tried mud or rocks with them. I just listed them for sale today, after Jeepfest I have this strange urge to spend money so I can go back and see if bigger rocks make a different sound when you bounce on them.

Would it be ok to run 33x12.50's on my stock wheels? I mean safety wise. Would I need any spacers to prevent rubbing. I am running a Skyjacker 2" BB. Thanks guys.

Go back and browse the FAQ I linked (second post in this thread)

Q: What back spacing will I need on my wheels in order to clear 12.50 wide tires?
Q: What is backspacing?
etc...

Hey, sorry I'm late to the party! I'm running 33s on 16x8" rims with 4.5" BS (see signature for specifics). It gives a nice, wide stance, and the Dick Cepek FC-II tires give it a pretty aggressive look for an AT.

I have been running 33x12.5' on my stock 17" Sahara wheels for a couple years, (I have 1.5" Spidertrax spacers) and i have had no issues. Aired down for trails and street use are fine.

i have a similiar setup to what you are thinking. i have a daily driver that i offroad once in while (not as much as i would like). i wanted a better look as i didnl;t like the skinny stock tires. i ended up going with 285/70/17 DC FC-II tires and 17" dick cepek torque wheels. tires are 33x11.5. i am very happy with the look of the 17" and also happy that i didn;t go with the 18's. the tires with more sidewall look better on the jeep than 18's with 33" rubber (IMO). the backspace on the wheels is about the same as if you went with oem rims and 1 1/4 spacers. the wheels stick out just slightly from the fenders. about perfect for not getting a ticket here in CT but looks really nice. the FC-II wheels are aggressive looking for an AT tire. they ride very well on the road. i stayed with 11.5" width. 12.5 or 13.5 would add more weight and not what i wanted as a daily driver. my gas mileage went down about 1 mpg when i added the new wheels/tires compared to stock (i have an auto with 3.73). If i had a standard (not auto) i would probably lean towards 35" inch tires with the same width and type of wheels and tires i have now. with the auto i am sticking with the 33's. i;ll try and get pics when i get home. i don;t have any on my computer at the moment. i have had this setup for about 6 months and would buy the exact wheels/tires for my dd if i did it again today.

cheers

paul
