first post but important
How can I tell which gears are on my jeep it is an 08 2 door with 35's on it. It had 5300 miles on it when purchased and curios how the gears impact horsepower and gas mileage

1. Build Sheet
2. VIN
3. Jack up one of the tires and have someone spin the tire one complete time, while you count the number of times the driveshaft makes a complete rotation

You can jack up jeep. Mark tire and mark drive shaft rotate tire and see how many ttimes droveshaft rotates. If it rotates 3 and 3/4 its 3.73 if its just passed 4 its 4.10 4 3/4 its 4.88. If it 5 thats 5.13 and 5 1/4 is 5.38. Not exact but will let you know if its been regeared.
