Default Firestick Mount

I have a 4 foot Firestick and I am looking for some good mount places, I like the License plate mount kit but 70 dollars seems a bit much. any one have any home brew tips for this..

A few of us have drilled a hole directly in the spare tire carrier right behind the spare and mounted it there with no problems.I just scraped the paint off at the mounting point a little and ran a grounding wire from the tailgate to the body.

I take my spring off when not wheeling. Just throw it in the arm rest. I can't stand the antennae whiping around while daily driving
