Fire extinguisher location suggestions

Yes that is a nice mount, but the thought here is about being able to get your hands on the fire extinguisher from the drivers seat if for some reason you are stuck and can't get the door open,, I'm sitting in my Jeep right now and if it was on the side of the seat there is no way I could get to it with the door closed. If you came out with a bracket that attached from the front of the driver or better yet the passenger seat that would be great! Also, if you have the drivers seat all the way down, does that effect your bracket? Matthew

I'm liking the drake mount on the passengers seat, it's easy to reach vs. having it under drivers seat with steering wheel in the way

The mount is affixed to the cage. The extinquisher is clamped to the mount with a strap that has a pull handle release. You guys are too funny.
As far as going back to the driver or passenger door if one has an under the hood fire......If it was bad enough that I could not approach those doors or open the back of my 2-door (I have no rear seat) and grab it, my Jeep is likely already totaled anyway.
In which case it is not going to matter much to get in the back and grab anything short of a 1.5 inch firehose with foam. Or some marshmallows.

Yes, it'll work fine. The only special consideration is that you raise it a couple of notches if you slide the seat forward. You really don't even have to do that, but the nozzle may scratch the plastic on the bottom of your seat adjustment handle if you don't.

Yes, I know you can get too fixated on looking for flaws, quite frankly I had a friend burn to death with two other people in a plane crash where they were unable to get to the fire extinguishers...

I cannot share the anecdote due to litigation between a customer and another party, but our kit saved someone from a complete loss due to what appears to be one of the well known fires. But, I have my own anecdote where on the trail I was able to get out, get the extinguisher, and put a power steering fluid fire out on a TJ before he could get his extinguisher from his roll bar.
